ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Ignite development production partner opportunity

Deadline for expressions of interest: Friday 16 May

Published: 8 April 2025

ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Ignite is now inviting production companies and animation studios to register an expression of interest in becoming a development production partner for a ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Ignite idea.

This opportunity is open to any UK based independent production company or animation studio who meet the eligibility criteria outlined in the .

Launched by ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Children’s & Education in 2024, the second iteration of ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Ignite once again sought to develop fresh, bold, innovative new animation ideas for a fully funded development opportunity. Unlike the usual development process, the opportunity was open to anyone over the age of 18 and a UK resident. We had a tremendous response and received over 1,600 submissions from a broad range of creators - individuals, production companies, animation studios and collectives.

We are currently in stage two of three development stages with nine exciting ideas.

Up to six ideas will continue into stage three of development and for this stage we will be looking for development production partners to jump on board and develop the ideas alongside us on a work for hire basis. We anticipate work starting in the autumn.
