My dad John
The Ambassador of the USSR awarded my dad a commemorative medal "in recognition of your contribution to our common stuggle against Fascism during the last war". The medal has an inscription in Russian: To the participant of war on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945. It was signed by A. Nikiforov, Counsellor at the Russian Embassy.
