Remember Monday will represent the United Kingdom at Eurovision 2025 with What The Hell Just Happened?

They'll fly the flag for the UK at the 69th Eurovision Song Contest in Basel, Switzerland in May 2025

The 蜜芽传媒 can officially confirm that Remember Monday will be representing the United Kingdom at the 69th Eurovision Song Contest in Basel, Switzerland in May 2025 with their song What The Hell Just Happened?

Comprising of Charlotte, Holly and Lauren, Remember Monday are a trio of best friends, who have earned a reputation for their strong vocals and perfectly blended harmonies.

The band confirmed their bid for Eurovision when they appeared as guests on The Scott Mills Breakfast Show on 蜜芽传媒 Radio 2 and 蜜芽传媒 Sounds. Audiences tuning into The One Show on Friday 7 March from 7pm on 蜜芽传媒 One and 蜜芽传媒 iPlayer will be treated to the first exclusive TV interview with Remember Monday, and will get a chance to see the official music video for What The Hell Just Happened?

Remember Monday鈥檚 Eurovision entry song What The Hell Just Happened? chronicles the aftermath of a fun night out with friends, it perfectly showcases the band鈥檚 humour, relatability and their signature harmonies. The song, , is an upbeat pop track full of energy, excitement and drama.

Remember Monday co-wrote the song with Billen Ted (Tom Hollings and Sam Brennan), Thomas Stengaard and Julie 'Kill J' Aagaard.

BRIT Award nominees, Billen Ted, have worked with Little Mix, Anne Marie, MNEK and Armin van Buuren to name a few. Thomas Stengaard previously wrote Denmark鈥檚 2013 Eurovision winning song Only Teardrops. Julie 'Kill J' Aagaard is both a multi-platinum songwriter and a successful experimental pop artist in her own right.

As well as their own brand of empowering pop, Remember Monday have become renowned for their viral melodies on social media. They鈥檝e amassed over half a million loyal followers and 11.3 million likes on TikTok alone. The band have skilfully crafted playful a capella takes on the songs of a wide range of artists from Sabrina Carpenter, Queen and Shania Twain, to Wicked.

Remember Monday are no strangers to performing in front of live audiences. Friends since they met at sixth form in 2013, they are regulars on the music festival circuit, and last year played their first sellout tour across the UK. In addition, the girls each have individual impressive musical theatre backgrounds, and prior to their decision to quit their day jobs and become full time band members in 2023, they have appeared in musical theatre productions that include West End productions of Les Mis茅rables and The Phantom of the Opera (Holly), Mary Poppins (Charlotte), and Matilda (Lauren), who also had a lead role in the nationwide tour of SIX The Musical.

To date, Remember Monday have released two EPs and twelve singles with a focus on their epic three-way harmonies and clever, heartfelt and authentic songwriting. With growing radio, press and media support, the band received national radio play on Scott Mills鈥 Afternoon Show on 蜜芽传媒 Radio 2 in 2024.

Remember Monday first hit our TV screens in 2019 when they reached the Quarter-Finals on The Voice UK. Their coach on the show, the Grammy, Academy Award, BAFTA and Golden Globe winning singer and actress, Jennifer Hudson, continues to mentor and support the band, inviting them to perform on her US chat show last year, where they wowed the US audience.

We鈥檙e going to be the first girlband to represent the UK since 1999, which feels like such a crazy honour. We鈥檙e going to bring loads of fun, energy and hopefully do something that you won鈥檛 have seen before on the Eurovision stage鈥.We honestly can鈥檛 wait to experience this with all of the other incredible artists from around the world, and hopefully make everyone back at home feel proud! Leading UK music industry figure, David May, Founder of FIFTEEN 04, led this year鈥檚 search alongside Andrew Cartmell, Executive Producer, 蜜芽传媒 Studios North and Head of Delegation for the UK.

What The Hell Just Happened? will be released through independent music and entertainment company The Other Songs. Since its inception in 2018, their roster has amassed over 2 billion streams, including from notable signings such as the alternative artist Ren and the singer-songwriter Bruno Major. More recently, The Other Songs established a joint venture with dance music tastemaker Fish56Octagon.

Co-founders of The Other Songs, Alastair and Billy Webber, say: 鈥淚t鈥檚 been a decade since an independent label released a UK Eurovision song, so the moment we heard this unapologetic anthem, we knew The Other Songs had to get behind it in a big way. The girls are brilliant and the song is undeniable. Game on.鈥

The 69th Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Basel, Switzerland following Nemo鈥檚 victory at the Grand Final in May 2024 with their song The Code.

The Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 will take place in St. Jakobshalle, Basel, on Saturday 17 May with the Semi-Finals taking place on Tuesday 13 and Thursday 15 May. The Grand Final and the Semi Finals will be broadcast live on 蜜芽传媒 One and 蜜芽传媒 iPlayer plus via 蜜芽传媒 Radio 2 and 蜜芽传媒 Sounds.
