SATURDAY NOVEMBER 16th:

Your Place And Mine 0805 - 0900

In a special outside broadcast, Anne-Marie McAleese explores the landscape which nurtured Seamus Heaney, about which he wrote so vividly and where his body now rests. What is left of the world Heaney in which grew up? Conor McKay visits Barney Devlin at the blacksmith鈥檚 forge that inspired Heaney's听poem "The Forge" and Anne-Marie goes on a Heaney walking tour. Plus live music and guests.

Marie-Louise Muir visits St Columb鈥檚 College in Derry where Seamus Heaney was a pupil to find out how he is remembered there and to listen to current pupils read their favourite Heaney poems.

William Crawley presents the programme live from Bellaghy Bawn, an amazing visitor centre which contains many original Heaney artefacts.听With his guests, William听will be exploring the complexities - political and religious - in Heaney鈥檚 work.

In a pre-recorded interview, Brian D'Arcy will be talking to one of Seamus Heaney鈥檚 brothers, Hugh, about growing up with Seamus, and about how the family is coping with his loss. Heaney wrote the poem "Keep Going for Hugh."

For many years, beginning in the early 1970s, Seamus Heaney presented many colourful programmes for radio in which he explored the Ulster landscape. In this programme, John Toal presents a compilation of highlights.
