A former ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ chairman tells us the controversy surrounding Jeremy Clarkson and racism has been blown out of all proportion. Yesterday the Mirror newspaper claimed that Mr Clarkson had used the n-word during filming of Top Gear. The paper published a video - which never went out on television - with the audio boosted. It's hard to make out what he says - but it's the old playground rhyme "eeny meeny miney moe - catch an n-word by his toe, when he squeals let him go. " Last night Jeremy Clarkson offered a full apology. The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ also released a statement saying "We have made it absolutely clear to him the standards the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ expects on-air and off. We have left him in no doubt about how seriously we view this." Former ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Chairman Sir Christopher Bland says Mr Clarkson's apology should be the end of the matter. Listeners give their reaction. Plus we hear patient experiences as a leading cancer charity criticises what it's called the "national shame" of cancer care in the UK.
