Some enjoy the solitude of gardening alone, for others it鈥檚 a social thing and that鈥檚 certainly the case at Islandmagee鈥檚 Community Garden. In this week鈥檚 programme, David Maxwell meets some of those who鈥檝e turned an overlooked corner into a haven for residents and wildlife. Also on the programme, David White chats about 鈥楾he Queen Elizabeth II Rose鈥� released in spring 2022 ahead of next week鈥檚 state funeral. Ann Fitzsimmons shows David her winter pond which might be waterless in early autumn but is still putting on a good show and Tony Kirkham on the 鈥渃ocker spaniel鈥� of a tree that鈥檚 his favourite for September.
