At this time of year many Christian communities decorate their churches with farm produce, fruit and veg as they celebrate the Harvest; an occasion 鈥� whatever the yield - to give thanks for the fruits of God鈥檚 creation. As we too celebrate the Harvest, Menna Machreth finds some appropriate resonances as far as personal faith is concerned; there鈥檚 a difference between being productive, and being fruitful.
Bible readings are taken from Luke 17 vs 5-10, and Philippians 2 vs 3 鈥� 11. Hymns include 鈥淲e plough the fields and scatter鈥�, 鈥淐ome ye thankful people come鈥� and 鈥淗ow great thou art鈥�.
