Superstar cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason joins the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra to perform a haunting, unfairly neglected concerto by one of Shostakovich鈥檚 best friends - Mieczys艂aw Weinberg. You'll also hear one of the greatest of British symphonies - Elgar鈥檚 First, which, when it was premiered in Manchester in 1908, the audience jumped to its feet and cheered.
