This week鈥檚 featured orchestra, the Luxembourg Philharmonic, perform Ravel鈥檚 deeply romantic song-cycle Sh茅h茅razade with soprano Patricia Petibon, and Schubert鈥檚 mammoth 9th Symphony 'The Great'. And the Van Kuijk Quartet perform with music by Mozart, recorded at St. George鈥檚 Brandon Hill in Bristol. Also in the programme the Miniature Suite by one of Bristol鈥檚 famous sons, Cyril Rootham, and a Beethoven piano sonata from Elisabeth Brauss.
Other highlights include Hindemith from the 蜜芽传媒 Scottish Symphony Orchestra, the 蜜芽传媒 Singers with music by Cecilia McDowell and Geminiani in a recording by Radio 3鈥檚 New Generation Baroque Ensemble 鈥� Ensemble Augelletti.
