In August 1997, Moby began work on an album intended to be his last. His previous album had been a commercial disaster. So, he decided he would make one more record and call it quits.

He returned to the electronic music of his early records while also exploring the recordings of sound archivist Alan Lomax, from which he extracted samples from old blues recordings. The resulting album 鈥淧lay鈥� was released in May 1999 and it became a phenomenal success with 8 of it鈥檚 18 tracks released as singles.

He took the album on tour the following year and thanks to our European Broadcasting Union partners in VRT Belgium in Brussels, we can bring you his performance at the Rock Werchter Festival on the 1st of July 2000, featuring tracks like 鈥淣atural Blues鈥�, 鈥淲hy Does My Heart Feel So Bad鈥� and 鈥淧orcelain鈥�

Tonight鈥檚 show also features a dazzling array of music from Mogwai, Bat For Lashes, Lemoncello and Mr Scruff.
