Because after all, music doesn鈥檛 get much more elegant and exuberant than Beethoven鈥檚 sunlit Second Piano Concerto 鈥� a young genius out to make a serious splash. Who better to play it than Jonathan Biss, the masterly American pianist who describes Beethoven鈥檚 music as 鈥渢ruly one of the greatest gifts to my life鈥�? Hr暖拧a opens the concert with a rediscovery from Pavel Haas: a burst of jazz-age wit from one of Czech music鈥檚 silenced voices.
