Multi-award-winning Lanarkshire-born composer Patrick Doyle talks to Len about recently winning the Fletcher of Saltoun Award for Arts and Humanities, and his 50-year career composing for film, theatre, television and radio.

And Bronwen Livingstone reports on the Community Instrumental Music Service for Rural Scotland, in which free violin and viola lessons are provided as part of a project to assess the impact of making music more accessible within the community. The project began in Millport on Great Cumbrae and is now in progress in Auchtermuchty, Fife.
