Soweto welcomes the expansive UK artist and vocalist as his Friday night mixtape guest.

鈥楻ound Midnight is presented by award-winning saxophonist Soweto Kinch. This weekday late-night show celebrates the thriving UK jazz scene and spotlights the best new music alongside incredible acts from past decades.

Soweto鈥檚 guest this Friday is British vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Eska Mtungwazi, also known just as Eska. Widely celebrated for her virtuosic and eclectic musical style and influences, Eska has worked with artists including Grace Jones, Bobby McFerrin, Dave Okumu and Matthew Herbert. Her debut album 鈥淓SKA鈥� was nominated for a Mercury Award in 2015, and her latest album 鈥淭he Ordinary Life of A Magic Woman鈥� will be released in May.

Tonight, Eska will be sharing a 30-minute mixtape that speaks to her expansive sonic palette, and framed for the nocturnal hours.
