Nobody Does It Better...for the 1970s!
Bob has a special 'Best of the Test' featuring a duet with Carly Simon and James Taylor, recorded at their home on Martha's Vineyard in the 1970s.
The 1970s showcased a string of musical couples, some successful, some more tumultuous than others. One such couple which shone brightly and lasted most of the decade was James Taylor and Carly Simon.
The pair married in 1972 and lived together on Martha's Vineyard, a small island off the North East coast of the United States.
Bob visited them there in their incredible house for the Old Grey Whistle Test. The interview was broadcast on the show in 1977 along with a duet recorded in their living room. You can hear a clip of that meeting for Bob's 'Best of the Test'.
Also on the show, Bob will bring his usual musical mastery of the 1970s, along with significant tracks from his 'Rock Date Diary' and another 1970s 'Country Classic.
To listen on most smart speakers, just say “Sounds of the 70s with Bob Harris".
