We examine the various ways in which a family can work. Presenter Marios Costi is joined in the studio on Newcastle’s Quayside by his old friend Mischa Cooke to chat about what a modern family looks like. They discuss their own experiences growing up, as well as now being parents themselves.

We see the adoption story of one couple who now have two children, and deaf and hearing siblings chat about their experience of growing up in a mixed family.

We also see the inspirational story of Natasha Willcock, a deaf doctor whose fierce determination led her to where she is today. And, of course, the See Hear alphabet challenge is back - how fast will Mischa go?
