A special operations crew in East Ayrshire is at the scene of a two-car collision. Meanwhile, paramedics in Buckie meet a man who crafts handmade fishing nets.
In East Ayrshire, a crew from the special operations team is at the scene of a two-car collision, treating a patient and reassuring her worried husband and son.
In Buckie, a variety of work for two local paramedics reveals the breadth of their tightly knit community - from an elderly man with breathing difficulties, to someone who has fallen at home while crafting handmade fishing nets, and finally to the police custody suite where a man refuses medical treatment for a self-inflicted wound to the neck.
In Leven, experienced paramedic Donna performs house calls alone, taking care of those who have called 999 but can likely be treated at home, including a woman who has been struck off by her GP and needs some mental health support, and a man who has just returned from a hospital stay and is worried about his health. Donna's work ensures ambulances and hospital resources are freed up for other emergencies.
