The Yachtsman Survivor

When yachtsman Robin Elsey Webb was violently attacked during a regatta in Antigua, life-or-death decisions had to be made by his partner, Liz. They join Sian to tell their story.

Robin Elsey Webb is a young and already very successful yachtsman with a dream of tackling the famous Vendee Globe, the single-handed round the world yacht race. But his plans were on hold while he and his partner Liz prepared to get married. To raise some money and for the sheer fun of it, they both took part as crew members on a boat at a regatta in Antigua.
For Robin the skilled sailor, and Liz who was fairly new to life on the ocean, it was idyllic, until walking home to the crew house on his own, Robin was attacked violently. He suffered severe head injuries. His survival depended on swift and bold decisions being made about his treatment. Those decisions had to be made by Liz. Robin's job was to try and stay alive.
Robin and Liz join Sian to piece together their own very different experiences of that terrifying ordeal, which changed so many things for both of them.
