Leading feminist Germaine Greer talks to Martha Kearney at Hay Festival about the views that have seen her divide and unite generations of men and women.
Since the release of her best-selling book 'The Female Eunuch' in 1970 Germaine Greer has created controversy and has become one of the leading feminist voices in the world today. Her various views, not just those relating to feminism, have bought her both adulation and opposition. Defining her goal as 'women's liberation' as opposed to 'equality with men' she asserts that women need to define their own values, order their own priorities and determine their own fates. She talks to Martha Kearney about the views that have seen her divide and unite generations of men and women.
