With so many challenging or negative stories facing us every week, I'm delighted that our programme, In Praise of God this week is the happiest of affairs.

Today we're celebrating new ministry with a service from St Matthias Church in Hanford. The congregation, led by the Archdeacon of Stoke, Godfrey Stone welcomes the Reverend Shaun Morris as Resident Minister.

Best wishes to Shaun and Sarah Morris with their new work. The numerous people involved included the Archdeacon of Stoke, Godfrey Stone and the Rural Dean, Father David Lingwood. Readings were given by Janice Baker, Carol Hassell, church secretary Lynn Collins and the head teacher of the Priory School, Matt Loader. Prayers were led by Pat Woodward.
