Changes to Northern Ireland police force
Northern Ireland's police force, the Royal Ulster Constabulary, is to undergo major changes following the publication of a report by Chris Patten. Patten chaired the Police Review Commission into the future of the policing in Northern Ireland, and his recommendations included a change of name and emblem for the RUC.
