Hartlepool Council’s announced it’s buying the empty Jackson’s Landing site for £1.5 million pounds. It’s wanting to redevelop it …we’ll be asking what local people would like to see there.
And earlier this month an appeal began to trace relatives of a World War Two veteran who’d died in a Teesside nursing home. 94 year old Frederick Leach was honoured for his part in the liberation of Norway. The former Green Howard had lost touch with his family. We’ll be hearing how veterans have rallied round and will be playing a part in his funeral service.
