Whales over Wales
In 1971 a new film version of ‘Under Milk Wood’ was made in Wales using an area of Fishguard as Llareggub. In an interview made at the time, Richard Burton (‘First Voice’ in this production) discusses Dylan Thomas’ use of visuals as shown in “Under Milk Wood” in particular. He describes seeing a Dylan Thomas painting in New York, called, in typical Dylan style, ‘Whales over Wales’. Burton is interviewed by Ronnie Williams for a Late Call Special.
