On this week鈥檚 Rock 鈥楴鈥� Roll Party Geoff marks the 70th birthday of John Fogerty. With his band Creedence Clearwater Revival, they were virtually alone in flying the flag of Rock 鈥楴鈥� Roll in America during the 1960鈥檚 and 70鈥檚 鈥� but they still chalked up massive hits including 鈥淧roud Mary鈥�, 鈥淏ad Moon Rising鈥� and 鈥淕reen River鈥�. There鈥檚 also a tribute to B. B. King, with some of his early blues-rockers, recorded at what later became the home of Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis and Johnny Cash 鈥� 鈥淪un Records鈥� in Memphis.
