Phil Neville: Sevilla will be favourites to beat Liverpool
Valencia assistant manager Phil Neville makes Sevilla favourites to beat Liverpool in the Europa League final.
Valencia assistant manager Phil Neville says Sevilla are favourites to beat Liverpool in the Europa League final on Wednesday.
The Spanish side have won the competition for the past two seasons, while Liverpool are aiming to win their first European trophy since 2005 when the two teams meet at St-Jakob Park in Basel, Switzerland (kick-off 19:45 BST).
Neville described Sevilla as “a really, really good European side”, adding: “The manager [Unai Emery] is one of the best managers in La Liga - tactically really good.
"It's a really difficult game for Liverpool. They're a big, strong, physical team. From set pieces, Liverpool will have to defend them well. They've got five or six players over six foot and have players with great delivery."
The former England international also praised the impact Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has made since arriving at Anfield in October. "Klopp has made a massive impression on people, he's almost like the 12th man for them,” he said.
