Pendleton: Fox-Pitt recovery is inspirational
Olympic cycling gold medallist Victoria Pendleton says equestrian rider William Fox-Pitt's recovery from a serious head injury is hugely inspirational.
Fox-Pitt suffered a head trauma when he fell from his horse at the World Young Horse Championships in France in October 2015 and was placed in an induced coma.
Pendleton, who now competes as a jockey, said: "It is an absolute miracle. I think everyone has been overwhelmed by his courage and tenacity to come back from it."
Three-time Olympic eventing medallist Fox-Pitt has been named in a 12-strong Team GB equestrian squad for the Olympics in Rio in August.
