Lenny the dementia-friendly barber
Lenny White from Northern Ireland travels around hospitals, nursing homes and day centres with his pop-up barbershop. He aims to recreate the old-fashioned barbershop experience for residents with dementia, and those who can’t make it to a hairdressers.
He’s also received an outstanding contribution prize at the Dementia Friendly Community Awards.
Lenny told 5 live:
“It’s really amazing to watch, the carers have even seen a difference in the men.â€
