This 154-acre forgotten garden has been rediscovered
The RHS is in the process of creating a brand new garden out of the ruins of an old one. RHS Bridgewater is under construction in the grounds of a stately home - the house was demolished just after the war. It’s the largest gardening project in Europe. By the time it opens to the public in 2020 it will have cost £31 million. Shari Vahl went to see how the garden is being transformed.
