What happens when you go for an STI test?
Dr Christian Jessen dispels the myth that tests for sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are a painful, or even embarrassing, experience.
Speaking as part of 5 Live’s #Sextakeover, the UKs biggest conversation about sex, Dr Jessen explained:
“There’s going to be no raised eyebrows…usually we just test from urine sample.
"Sometimes we take some blood. You can get a result for HIV within fifteen minutes.
It's that easy and the really important message is HIV is now manageable.”
