On what would have been Rachael 41st birthday, ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 5 Live, in partnership with ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ News and ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Sounds, is launching The Rachael Bland New Podcasting Award - a search to find new podcasting talent.

Rachael died from breast cancer in September 2018. After the diagnosis, she co-hosted a 5 Live podcast about cancer, You, Me and the Big C.

Her husband Steve told 5 Live how it’s been for him and their son Freddie since Rachael died, and why the award is so important.

Steve said: "It's a fantastic way to celebrate her birthday... it's something she'd be really proud of."
