Highlights: The Upton Sunshine Festival

The Upton Festival celebrated its 10th birthday in style, with a huge birthday bash featuring Scouting for Girls, Busted, Boyzlife (with members of Boyzone and Westlife), Peter Andre and 10CC.

There were also performances from The Osmonds, S Club 7, Judge Jules and Dave Pearce.

Because we chatted to so many performers - getting their top tips for new musicians - we'll be speading out our coverage throughout the whole of this month!

Highlights: Olliefest, Ross-on-Wye

A Herefordshire festival celebrated its fifth year, last weekend, by almost doubling in size.

The three day Olliefest took place at the town's rugby club featuring two stages of rock and pop tribute acts as well as a brand new big top with DJs playing dance, trance and drum & bass.
Ìý
Since 2018, the organisers have been working on reducing the use of unnecessaryÌýplastic.

ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Music Introducing: Lucy May Walker at the Big Feastival

Lucy May Walker is a singer/songwriter from Redditch, but her musical journey has been taking her to places far and wide.

We had her in session in Leominster back in 2015. She then appeared on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Midlands Today.Ìý
Ìý
University then took Lucy to Cumbria - and she came out with first class honours degree in Performing Arts before travelling to London where she established herself as a regular on the busking scene.
Ìý
Earlier this year, Lucy went on tour with Wet Wet Wet after appearing in session on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 2 and secured a spot at last weekend's Big Feastival after we put her forward.

Malvern Winter Gardens

Malvern is well known for its classical connections, but many people are unaware of the town's other musical story.

From the early '60s, for a period of around 30 years, Malvern Winter Gardens rocked to the sounds of bands such The Jam, The Kinks, The Who, Pink Floyd, Motorhead, Hawkwind and many more, some of whom were in their infancy at the time.

Local charity Rock Around the Hills created an interactive exhibition, thanks to a £60,000 grant, celebrating the story of rock, punk and progressive rock at the Winter Gardens from 1961 to 1990.

The display features more than 400 posters, tickets, flyers and fanzines, as well as recorded memories from audience members, musicians and promoters who were all part of the scene.

Having already been at Malvern Library and the Hive in Worcester, the exhibition has now moved to the airwaves - and we're broadcasting some of those memories every Sunday, from 6pm, here on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Hereford & Worcester.

ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Music Introducing at the Worcester Music Festival

Our next recording session takes place on Sunday, 15 September at Annie's, in Worcester, as part of the Worcester Music Festival.

Annie's Burger Shack is one of the newest live music venues in the city, having already hosted 30 awesome gigs since it opened earlier this year.

The Worcester Music Festival was first staged in 2008 by Chris Bennion, who produces Worcestershire Sauce.
Ìý
He set up a website called NotJustSauce - aiming to put Worcester on the map musically.
Ìý
Taking place in multiple venues across the city, from pubs, clubs, restaurants and cafes to historic buildings, river cruisers, record shops, on the streets and even in breweries, the festival is absolutely free to attend with hundreds of gigs to choose from from some of the best, new and emerging artists in the UK.
