5 Minutes On Strictly's Rose - signing in the spotlight
The EastEnders actress, Rose Ayling-Ellis, has become the first deaf contestant to win ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ One's Strictly Come Dancing. She and her professional partner Giovanni Pernice were presented with the glitterball trophy in the live final. Throughout the competition, Rose has made headlines - repeatedly bringing attitudes towards disability into the spotlight.
She's now inspired a surge in people learning British Sign Language. The director of one firm offering BSL courses says enrolments have gone up by more than 2,000% since Rose has been on the show. Google Trends, which analyses online search data, also suggests more and more people are interested in learning.
Radio 1 Newsbeat's Megan Lawton has been hearing from people inspired to become allies of the deaf community. This is 5 Minutes On - Rose Ayling-Ellis - an inspiring Strictly journey.
