Humza Yousaf has said he and his wife are "sick with worry" after her parents became trapped in Gaza following days of violence in the region.
The first minister told 蜜芽传媒 Scotland his parents-in-law travelled from Scotland to Gaza to visit an elderly family member.
They are now trapped there with no prospect of safe passage to another country.
More than 10 British citizens are feared dead or missing.
