Leicester is home to the world’s largest collection of objects from the history of gas.

Did you know that Leicester is the home to the world’s largest and most significant collection of objects from the history of gas?

Britain’s ‘National Gas Museum’ is situated in an assuming brick building on Leicester’s Aylestone Road. It hosts an exhibition on the history or domestic and industrial gas supply with hundreds of historical artefacts - everything from vintage working gas lights and wonderful gas gadgets like the gas radio and the gas hair-dryer.
