Down to earth advice on growing your own fruit and vegetables with allotment gardener Terry Walton, from his plot in the Rhondda Valley.

Down to earth advice on growing your own fruit and vegetables with allotment gardener Terry Walton, from his plot in the Rhondda Valley.
Terry explains his compost heap rotation, keeping all the nutrients on the plot.
It's time to allocate different soil ready for different crops, and build a frame ready for the brassica bed. It will mean the soil will have time to firm before it's time to plant out, great for cabbages, cauliflowers and broccoli.
In the greenhouse it's time to start the peas off in root trainers, and trim the young sweetpea plants to encourage bushier growth.
