Martin Lewis says the deadline the buy back any missing years of National Insurance contributions is approaching.

He鈥檚 urged people to check their National Insurance contributions between 2006 鈥� 2019 and look at whether their years are 鈥渋n full鈥�.

Speaking to 5 Live鈥檚 Adrian Chiles, Martin said: 鈥淭his is all about the new state pension which started in April 2016.鈥�

鈥淭he years between 2006 and 2019 - this is your last opportunity. If you haven鈥檛 got them and you need them and you have to buy them鈥� Otherwise, you lose that opportunity.鈥�

鈥�13 years can be equal鈥� to about 拢100,000鈥�. hence the importance of the urgency of this deadline.鈥�
