Will ACAS help resolve Birmingham’s Bin Strike?
The Unite union has agreed to attend mediation talks with conciliation service ACAS next week to try to settle the ongoing bin strike in Birmingham.
It said talks with the city council broke up after 40 minutes yesterday but a deal could now be "in touching distance".
In a statement sent to the ѿý, Birmingham City Council said: “Negotiations are ongoing and are positive. There has been agreement that there will be further discussions at the end of next week under the auspices of ACAS.”
