Television pre-transmission

Your programme is completed and anticipation and excitement around the transmission is building.
In the build up to transmission, ensuring that your promotion and publicity campaign is as accessible and inclusive as the rest of the production is vital.
Find out how you can achieve this simply and effectively throughout your launch:
Social media is a powerful tool to promote your content to a broad audience and to keep the conversation going beyond the initial transmission.
- Make sure your publicity and posts hit the right note with an inclusive and authentic tone that speaks to your audience.
- Your imagery, whether photographs, gifs, memes or video clips should be inclusive and avoid stereotypes and clichés
- Think about accessibility. Can your social media content be accessed by everyone? Are your clips subtitled? Are you using the best font for a screen reader?
It's finally happening and the press launch is here!
After all your hard work throughout the production, now is the time to do one last check to make sure nothing is forgotten and your launch truly reflects the diversity of your production.
- Check back over information about accessibility to ensure your venue works for everyone.
- If doing press screenings or Q&A sessions for the press and public, think about your host or presenter for this session. It can be a great opportunity to expand your network and connect with local or regional talent
