Documentary profiling the work of plastic surgeons at the Canniesburn Unit in Glasgow, who collaborate with cancer surgeons to reconstruct the breasts of mastectomy patients. Filmed over nine months, the programme follows the progress of three Scottish women coping with breast cancer and benefitting from reconstruction. Breast cancer is not the death sentence it once was, with advances in medicine and surgery helping more women to live longer and with greater confidence.
