Louise Wener chooses her final Tracks Of My Years
Louise Wener from Sleeper shares her final two songs on Tracks of My Years. Plus there's more music quizzing on Ten To The Top.
Louise Wener from Sleeper shares her final two songs on her musical journey through ten of her most influential and favourite songs in this week's Tracks of My Years.
Sleeper burst on to the music scene in 1995 with their anthem 'Inbetweener', and went on to have eight top 10 singles - including 'Sale Of The Century', 'Nice Guy Eddie' and 'Statuesque', as well as three top 10 albums.
Louise became one of the 'faces' of the British indie movement, and after Sleeper split up in 1998 she turned her hand to writing novels, and to date has published four books of fiction, her autobiography AND a play for Radio 4.
Sleeper reformed in 2017, and after releasing a new album in 2018, they've been successfully touring, with more festivals to follow this summer. The 30th anniversary of debut album 'Smart' is being marked with a 12 date autumn tour, starting in Cardiff on the 25th September.
Plus there's the mid-morning music quiz Ten To The Top, a trip in to the ѿý Archive with Vernon's Vault, and the Record and Album Of The Week.
Whatever you're up to, Vern wants to hear from you - email vernon@bbc.co.uk - and if you’d like to apply to take part in Ten To The Top, the address you need is tentothetop@bbc.co.uk
