Impressionist extraordinaire Rory Bremner goes on a 10-song journey on the latest Tracks Of My Years.
Rory's also a comedian, satirist, translator, columnist, writer, presenter, ballroom dancer and actor, although he's perhaps best known for writing and starring in the political satire show Bremner, Bird and Fortune on Channel 4.
His breakthrough TV appearance was on Wogan in 1985, following which he had his own series on the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ from 1986 to 1991. Rory has since guested on many of Britain’s top comedy shows on radio and TV, including Spitting Image, Whose Line is it Anyway, Have I Got News for You, Mock the Week (team captain for two series), The News Quiz, The Now Show, 7 Day Sunday and QI.
As a mimic, he’s provided definitive impersonations of PMs and Presidents, from Major to Mandela, Blair to Brown, Clinton to Cameron and Bush to Trump. Rory won back-to-back BAFTAs for Top Comedy Performance in 1995 &1996, together with three Royal Television Society and two British Comedy Awards.
Between his own TV shows, he co-wrote and presented two satirical Radio 4 series, Tonight and Bremner’s One Question Quiz, toured the country recording Rory Bremner’s Great British Views for ITV, hosted the quiz-show Face the Clock for C4 and competed on Strictly in 2011, partnering Erin Boag.
Gary will also go back in music history with another slice of De Ja Woo; there's the mid-morning music quiz Ten To The Top at 1030, and there's a new Record Of The Week from Ed Sheeran, while Album Of The Week comes from Elton John and Brandi Carlile.
