Teapot, Toy Tools, Caravan
Nigel Havers presides as five sellers aim to get the best price for their items, including a teapot, Powermite toys, ornate barrels, a model caravan and a decorative bust.
Nigel Havers welcomes five more sellers to the Bidding Room, where they try to sell items to professional dealers who are on the lookout for interesting pieces, with help from expert Simon Bower.
First in today is Phillip, with a novelty train teapot. A highly collectable item, he is hoping that the dealers will all be taken with the teapot and want to get their hands on it. He will be targeting Ian, who loves anything unusual, and Jo, who loves a good cup of tea. But will either of them be on the right track with their bids?
Next in is Peter with something that could come in handy at home... a pristine collection of toy power tools. He is hoping, with all the childhood nostalgia, that he won’t have his work cut out for him.
Robyn is up next with a pair of ornate rice barrels. With storage solutions all the rage, how much cash will the dealers be happy to pour into them?
Next into Bidding Room HQ is Tony. He is proffering an exquisitely decorated Romany caravan model. These can go for large sums of money in the open market, so will any of the dealers recognise its worth and grab a bargain?
Back in with another item, it’s Sharon. She has brought along a decorative bust, used for advertising in a previous life. Armed with knowledge of its history, she heads in to face the dealers who today are Ian, Mel, Jo, James and Sam.
