The meeting of an education panel
A multi-agency education panel, including a police officer, an attendance and welfare officer and a social inclusion officer, discuss the hypothetical case of a young person with special educational needs and aggressive tendencies. The panel is chaired by a member of the Oxfordshire Youth Offending Service which aims to keep young people engaged in education. Being excluded from school is a major risk factor for offending behaviour. What plan of action will the panel decide on?
