On today's show, Tom talks to Steve Reich, one of the greatest living composers about his life and music. Called 鈥渢he most original musical thinker of our time鈥� (The New Yorker), works like Different Trains, Music for 18 Musicians and It鈥檚 Gonna Rain changed the classical musical landscape forever. As Steve reissues his life鈥檚 work on a 27 disc box set he chats to Tom about his music, how he hears his work now and what's still to come in an iconic career spanning 6 decades.

This week, New Jersey based Irish composer Donnacha Dennehy chats to Tom about the 鈥楳iracle on the Hudson鈥�, when pilot Chesley 鈥楽ully鈥� Sullenberger safely landed US Airways Flight 1549 on the Hudson River, the event that inspired his piece Hard Landing.
